Peace be with you!
It was really nice spending time with y’all Saturday morning enjoying breakfast together. Although I’m hopeful the weather is a bit more cooperative Saturday for our walking, jogging or running (I promise we’ll get one nice day this semester!) the extra time to spend time in the word and take a meal with y’all was a great alternative.
Last week we determined our Missional Core Values would be:
1. Sharing the Gospel
2. Discipleship
3. Sacrificial
Please spend a few minutes of your quite time considering how we will put these into action…
To summarize our core values:
Core values around family:
1. Pray
2. Eat
3. Love
Core Values around Spirituality:
1. Dedication and Commitment
2. Desire to know God
3. Consistency
Missional Core Values:
1. Sharing the Gospel
2. Discipleship
3. Sacrificial
We also decided to participate in a few fun events in the coming week! Super fun!
If you have not registered, please register ASAP. The March 3rd event will serve as our meeting but we will not have a reading assignment that week.
For week four (Feb 25) please read the following:
· Living with Impact (page 40 – Experiencing Christ Within)
· Luke 3:10-14 (Trust in God – concern for others)
· Matthew 6:9-10 (Lord’s Prayer)
· John 14:13; 15:7-8 (Glorification of Christ)
· Romans 8:16-17; 15:7 (Glorification of Christ)
· Ezekiel 1:26-28 (Glory of God Revealed)
· 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; 4:6 (our new birth – What can you expect to happen in your life as a result of these truths? What can you trust God for?)
A well-known Irish blessing…
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matt 5:15-16
